EDWARD NYGMA'S STORY:

Formerly Edward Nygma, the brilliant and enigmatic man worked for the Gotham City Police Department as a forensic scientist, surprising everyone with his exceptional intellect and eccentric personality, obsessed with word puzzles and video games.Of course, this irritated his colleagues, who treated him as a weirdo who could be pushed around. His peculiar mannerisms and obsession with puzzles set him apart from his peers. But it was these very qualities that made him an invaluable asset to the GCPD.Falling in love with Kristen Kringle, Nygma tried to impress her by giving her a carved watermelon as a gift, or by organizing documents in the archives according to his logic, but such situations only made the red-haired woman nervous and avoid him.He went down a path of criminal activity after murdering Tom Dougherty to protect Kristen Kringle from his abuse. He later began dating Kringle, but accidentally killed her after revealing this information to her. Ed's alter ego would force him to embrace his darkness after these murders.One day, a series of mysterious murders shook the town. The victims were found with riddles carved into their bodies, baffling both the police and the public. As the investigation progressed, Edward became increasingly fascinated by the intricate nature of the crimes.Driven by his insatiable curiosity, Edward delved deep into the mind of the killer. He meticulously analyzed every clue, deciphered every riddle, and connected the dots in a way no one else could. Edward's obsession grew, blurring the line between his personal life and the case.As Edward unraveled the intricate web of the killer's mind, he found himself facing his own demons. The dark recesses of his psyche were stirred. The line between nerd and villain began to blur as Edward discovered a hidden talent for manipulating his surroundings.As he became increasingly involved in a series of mysterious murders, Edward Nygma realized that the killer he and the GCPD were searching for was his alter ego. As his memory gaps completely vanished, Nygma remembered the crimes he had committed and the victims he had killed. So Riddler began covering tracks, mixing up crime scene evidence and criminal records from those cases so the GCPD would never know the killer's true identity.Eventually, however, he was discovered and sent to Arkham Asylum. He was released, however, and received a certificate from a psychiatric hospital that he was no longer insane, thanks to his friend Oswald Cobblepot. Edward Nygma helped him with his political career for a time, but their relationship turned hostile when Oswald ordered the assassination of Isabella, Edward's lover, who reminded him of Kristen, whom he had accidentally killed earlier.The Riddler took revenge on Pinquin by ruining his political power, driving him insane, and later attempting to kill him by shooting him on the docks and throwing him into the water.Later, in revenge, Oswald froze him for a time with the help of Victor Freeze. In the end, however, they came to an understanding and forgave each other.Edward began leaving riddles of his own, taunting police and Gothamites alike. He revelled in the chaos he created, enjoying the psychological warfare that unfolded before him.Edward's descent into darkness changed him forever. He became a criminal mastermind. The Riddler continued to challenge the limits of his intellect, leaving a trail of mystery and chaos in his wake.
